If your child says they have no homework, here are some suggestions:

Call me if you question how much homework your child's teacher is giving. The school's number is 937-8993 my extension is 142.

ELA Support- Students should be reading 20 minutes each night for an independent choice book or an assigned class book. It is also helpful for you to ask them questions about their reading or have them read to younger children.
The students are currently working on an inclass project related to Three Skeleton Key.

Math Support- Students should be practicing their multiplication table. Please make this a family project to help students memorize their math facts. According to state guidelines, most special ed students will no longer be able to use a calculator on MCAS unless allowed for all students. Math facts MUST memorized. Please pay special attention to squares such as 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 etc.

We have just take a test on integers and are now contining on to work with a coordinate graph. I try to assure that all students are prepared to do the class assind homework, but occassionally it needs to be modified. If HW is too difficult for your child, please writie a note so the clasroom teacher and I will know.

Please stay in touch.

Thanks!
