I hope everyone had a nice and safe holiday season! Just wanted to pass along some of the PTO news from our last meeting......

We are still collecting ink cartridges for Staples Rewards. It has proved to be an easy, and beneficial collection to raise money and purchase supplies needed in the classrooms.. I hope more staff members can benefit from this and please send in your ink cartridges to the Main Office...

The classrooms are collecting money for Pennies For Patients in the month of January. It's a fun way to raise and donate money to support the Leukemia Foundation. Please ask your child about it and learn about this great fundraiser.

The Ski Program has been great! We have a bus load of students that have been enjoying a wonderful experience. Thank you to Mrs. Rita Patrylo for organizing the Ski Program, and Thank you to all the volunteers that help make this a success!

A SPAGHETTI DINNER AND STAR GAZING EVENT is scheduled for Monday, March 22, 2010. MARK YOUR CALENDERS!! Be part of the Sullivan Family and enjoy a great meal, interesting and educational activities, and gaze at the amazing stars in our universe! This is NOT an experience you want to miss..

**THE ONLY WAY WE CAN ENSURE A WONDERFUL EVENT FOR THE SULLIVAN SCHOOL FAMILIES, IS HAVING THE SUPPORT OF PARENTS AND STAFF. WE DO NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR THE SPAGHETTI DINNER AND STAR GAZING EVENT. PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING A LITTLE BIT OF YOUR TIME TO HOST AN EVENT THAT YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN WILL NEVER FORGET!! PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE PART OF THIS SPECIAL EVENING.. THANK YOU.....

Walmart donated $500.00 to the PTO. We would like this money to go toward something that will benefit all children in 5th-8th grades. Please send me your ideas and we can discuss it at our next meeting.

If you know of anyone that would be interested in tutoring students of the Sullivan School, please contact me . He/She must be at least in the 8th grade.

If there is anyone interested in providing a fitness session to Sullivan School members, please contact me. The person must be qualified to instruct a fitness class.

There is a Lowell CPC Meeting Monday, January 25, 2010 at 7 PM. at the Henry J. Mroz Central Administration Offices ( previously the Rogers School), 43 Highland Street, Lowell, Ma.

** The Sullivan School P.T.O. board would like to thank all the volunteers that have supported events and have raised money for the Sullivan School.

Please note that my email address is kids3or4@gmail.com

Our next PTO meeting will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 6:30 PM. Please join us and share your ideas and input. Great things are accomplished when we work together for a common goal. Our goal?... Supporting all our Sullivan School students, familes and staff members...

Have a wonderful day,
