Madness - Sullivan Reads
March 2010
March Madness - Sullivan Reads is our annual incentive reading program conducted at the Sullivan Middle School. March 2010 will be the sixth year of the program. All books read within March 1 – March 31 2010 will be accepted.
Each student, teacher, administrator, and staff member is challenged to read two books during the month. In addition, to meet the challenge, a written component must be completed about the book. Each completed book project earns one ticket and each ticket is a chance to win a prize. At the end of the month, a collection of prizes, books, gift cards, sports equipment, and movie passes are raffled off. Every ticket earned is a chance to get any of the prizes. In addition, the students who read the most are also rewarded.
We are anticipating that March Madness history will be made this year. The class of 2010 has challenged themselves to be the top reading grade level. Historically, the eighth grade finishes dead last. If they accomplish their goal, they will be the first class to read the most books per grade level all four years at the Sullivan. This would be an unprecedented feat; the Sullivan community looks forward to the challenge.
For the last four years, we have met our goal, surpassing the number of books read the previous year. We are looking forward to breaking our record of last year.

Kites will be returned (in a timely manner) so that they can be put on the door. Staff and family members kites will also be display on the classroom doors.
